A thousand years later find the planet a world where man co-exist with robots - where ingenious humans make clever machines in their image. In the mountain district of Oolala City, wise scientists, Charles & Grey, devoted to the research & development of robots, discover a manuscript which chronicles the ancient epic battle on the mountain and that the powerful weapon, the 12 Stones, have been lost, and warns that the Dark Lord's
incarceration will last a millennium ONLY - meaning he will soon be out!
To find the Stones, they design and build twelve Zodiac Robots or Zobots, each representing an animal in the ancient Chinese horoscope and each endowed with the qualities and powers - and weaknesses of that animal! But Dr Grey turns bad, he decides he will steal all the bots, seize the Stones, release the prisoner-who-shall-be-omnipotent and wielding the only weapon that scares him, coerce him to join him to rule the world! But Dr Charles' neighbor, Sky, a brave kid, uncovers Grey's treachery and prevents him from taking all the bots - he snatches six only to re-program to solely obey him.
They are Black Horse, Green Snake, Tunnel Rat, Lazy Pig, Super Goat and Lightning Dog. The rest remain with Charles and his new partner, Sky, namely Kaka Dragon, Tai Tiger, Go Ox, Jade Rabbit, Mihe Rooster and Iron Monkey. Metal-heads clash in combat, flaunt their strengths, attack their opponents' weaknesses, scientists locked in a dangerous game of strategy & tactics, and amidst the war, the desperate search for the Zodiac Stones. Grey gathers all the Stones and frees the Dark Lord but instead of showing eternal gratitude, the Omnipotent One tries to get rid of his benefactor. Charles saves Grey who turns over a new leaf. Sky summits Oolala Mountain and implores with heartfelt sincerity the battling bots to reunite to face a common danger.
